Plumbing apprenticeships can be started in many different ways. Receiving the relevant certification generally requires the completion of a traineeship and theory work, which most people do outside of school. While it may be unpleasant for the smell of sewerage to seep from your pipes, there is no threat posed to your health. Of all of the gases the anaerobic bacteria contained within sewerage can produce, the only common one that will produce an odour is hydrogen sulphide.
